Burglar Alarm Spray

A client just sent me this link and we had a great laugh over how we would both probably set this off and spray ourselves. Considering I accidentally pepper sprayed myself in my car, I wouldn’t trust myself with this in my house …

Resembling a speckled alloy shell digital camera, the Burglar Blaster is something you would not want to put your eye up to. The battery operated passive infrared detection security system is an automated pepper spray armed which can supposedly monitor areas up to 2,000 square feet. We wouldn’t want to test its limits, even outside its perimeter limits.

Tulip Delivery

As a thank you to all of my amazing clients I sprinkled Denver with Tulips yesterday, leaving little deliveries on front porches all over the city. Accompanying the potted tulips I attached a postcard with Spring Cleaning Tips. I’m so appreciative of all my clients and their friendship. Thank you!    Libby’s Denver

Take Care of Your Outdoor Wood Furniture

I recently purchased a new wood outdoor furniture set and thought the wood was properly treated to be outdoors … I should know better. I had a friend over for drinks in the backyard and was horrified to see that some of the wood has already split!

After calming down I had no one to blame but myself. I should have known with the dry Colorado Weather and that with the weather roller coaster ride we’ve been on lately, I needed to treat my outdoor furniture.

I headed out to Home Depot and found the perfect wood stain match (www.Minwax.com) for my table and applied the stain with a cheap paint brush with the grain of the wood (please remember to shake the can … I forgot!). It’s also a good idea to apply the stain in the grass as it has a tendency to splatter and drip on patios.

Step two of the process, I applied a Teak Oil protection to the table and chairs which boasts a UV protection and is water resistant. This application will probably get me through the rest of the summer through next spring if I cover the table and chairs during the winter (or find a spot out of the elements to store them).

I hope this tip prevents you for the heartache of damaged wood furniture.
